Model History and Information: The Shelby GT500 joined the GT350 in the 1967 line-up, built on the 1967 Mustang. It used a 428 cubic inch (7.0 litre) Police Interceptor V8 with two 600 cfm Holley carburettors, rated at 355 bhp and 420 lb-ft of torque, while the GT350 kept its 289 V8. A four-speed manual was standard and a C-6 automatic was available. Production for 1967 was about 2,050 cars. This version is finished in Candy Apple Red with white stripes.
