Model History and Information: The Shelby Super Snake name began with a single 1967 demonstrator car, a GT500 fitted with a 427 FE GT40 racing engine rated at roughly 650 hp and tested at speeds over 150 mph; no other examples were built at the time. Shelby American later revived the Super Snake as an upgrade package on subsequent Mustang generations, most recently pairing supercharged V8 power with wider bodywork, a front splitter, a rear wing and upgraded brakes over the standard car. This model applies that current Super Snake treatment to the latest Mustang, finished in grey with blue Shelby racing stripes.
