Model History and Information: Caterpillar's 950M belongs to its medium wheel loader range and was offered with a Tier 4 Final/Stage IV ACERT engine. For this machine Caterpillar changed the hydraulic system to a mono-block main valve with an integrated ride control section, a design that has forty percent fewer leak points and is shared across the M Series models. The robotically welded two-piece frame is joined by the M Series articulating hitch, and the rear axle can oscillate up to 13 degrees each way to keep all four wheels on the ground in rough terrain.
