Model History and Information: The Cat® D7E is a medium track-type tractor (dozer) notable for its electric-drive powertrain, which pairs a 235 hp Cat C9.3 engine with an AC electric generator, inverter, and propulsion module in place of a traditional torque converter and mechanical transmission. Caterpillar states the D7E burns 10 to 30 percent less fuel per hour than the previous D7 model, depending on the application. It is used for grading and dozing in general construction. This 1:24 scale radio-control model is the largest RC D7E replica in the range, with individual RC movement of the blade, manual movement of the rear rippers, and working lights and sound.
