1:400 Air Atlanta Boeing 727-100 N1187Z
Product Dimensions: 4.00 x 3.24 x 1.02 in.
Model History and Information: Air Atlanta was a small Atlanta-based carrier that set out in the mid-1980s to win business travellers away from the large airlines at Hartsfield. Rather than competing on fares, it offered a premium product on a fleet of Boeing 727-100s configured with fewer, roomier seats than the major carriers fitted. The 727-100, the original short-body version of Boeing's trijet, was well suited to that plan: it could operate from shorter runways, carried its own airstair and auxiliary power unit, and was widely available on the used market by then. The airline's run was brief, and it ceased operations in the late 1980s.
