Model History and Information: In the mid-1990s Trans World Airlines introduced a new corporate identity built around a globe emblem, replacing the long-running twin-stripe look on its aircraft. Its Boeing 767s, which formed the backbone of TWA's transatlantic operation, were among the aircraft to carry the updated scheme. The 767-300, a stretched development of the original 767, offered greater capacity while retaining the type's two-crew cockpit and twin-engine efficiency. The globe livery was the last TWA identity to fly before the airline was acquired by American Airlines in 2001.
