1:400 TWA Boeing 727-200 Project Skinny N64339
Product Dimensions: 4.60 x 3.24 x 1.02 in.
Model History and Information: Trans World Airlines flew the Boeing 727 on its domestic network for decades, and the 727-200 became one of the most familiar aircraft in its fleet, serving hubs such as St. Louis and New York. This model depicts TWA 727-200 N64339, an airframe with an unusually well-documented history: it was the aircraft hijacked on TWA Flight 847 on 14 June 1985, and it went on to fly TWA's last revenue 727 service before the type was retired from the airline's fleet on 30 September 2000. The stretched 727-200 carried more passengers than the original 727 while keeping its three-engine layout and its ability to use shorter runways, which made it a workhorse for TWA through the 1980s and 1990s.
