1:400 USAir 767-200ER Piedmont Hybrid N648US
Product Dimensions: 4.78 x 4.68 x 1.58 in.
Model History and Information: USAir acquired Piedmont Airlines in the late 1980s, and with it came Piedmont's Boeing 767-200ER fleet and its transatlantic routes from Charlotte. The merger was completed in 1989, and while the combined airline repainted its fleet, some aircraft flew for a time in transitional markings that combined elements of both carriers' identities. This model captures one of those hybrid schemes on a USAir 767-200ER. The extended-range 767 gave USAir its long-haul capability, and the type remained in its fleet for international and transcontinental flying well after the merger.
