Model History and Information: The Audi Coupe S2, built from 1990 to 1996, topped the Audi 80/90-based coupe range with a turbocharged 2.2-litre inline-five and quattro all-wheel drive through a viscous-coupling centre differential. Early cars used a five-speed manual gearbox and produced 220 hp, with a six-speed gearbox and a revised engine introduced later in the production run; period figures for the early cars show 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and a 154 mph top speed. This example is finished in Cricketgrun (cricket green). The 1:43 model reproduces the coupe body with no opening parts and free-rolling wheels, presented on the Solido display plinth.
