Model History and Information: The BMW 8 Series was launched in 1990 with the 850i, powered by a 5.0 litre M70 V12. The 850 CSi followed, listed for 1992 to 1996, with the 5.6 litre S70B56 V12 rated at 381 PS and 550 Nm, and the six-speed manual was its only transmission. BMW built 1,510 cars with the S70 engine, and production ended in late 1996 because the engine could not meet new emission rules without major re-engineering. This version is finished in Brilliant Rot.
