Model History and Information: The Cat® 854K Wheel Dozer is the largest wheel dozer in Caterpillar's lineup, built for large mining operations, power-generating utilities, and general contracting work where mobility and pushing power are needed on uneven ground. It is powered by a turbocharged Cat C32 ACERT engine and uses an oscillating rear axle design that lets the rear wheels articulate independently, helping the machine keep traction and stability across rough or undulating terrain. Robust axles and a multi-speed powershift transmission support sustained dozing and stockpile work at sites where a standard crawler dozer would be less mobile.
