It is powered by a Cat C18 engine built to meet EU Stage V emission standards, and its single-stage hoist cylinders give dump cycle times of 16 seconds to raise the body and 21 seconds to lower it. Caterpillar offers the AD45 with dump body or ejector body configurations and pairs it with the Cat R1700 underground loader as a matched loading and hauling combination.
