Model History and Information: Caterpillar's CT660 vocational truck was launched in 2011 and initially built by Navistar, and Caterpillar announced in 2016 that it would stop producing its CT truck line. The CT660 was powered by the Cat CT13 engine, used aluminum alloy cab construction to reduce weight for maximum payloads, and had a sloped hood that Caterpillar says increases visibility and decreases wind drag for improved fuel efficiency. This 1:50 set shows a Cat yellow CT660 day cab tractor with tandem rear axles coupled to a single dry van trailer.
