Model History and Information: Freightliner introduced the Cascadia in 2007, and Daimler Truck North America reports that customers have purchased more than one million of them. The fifth generation of the truck was unveiled on October 15, 2024, and was scheduled to begin production in mid-2025. Its updates include an upgraded camera, four new short-range radar sensors and an improved long-range radar sensor, along with an Intelligent Braking Control System that pairs brake-by-wire technology with backup pneumatics. Detroit DD13 and DD15 engines were available at launch. This 1:50 replica depicts the fifth-generation sleeper tractor on its own, finished in red.
