Model History and Information: The International® LoneStar was a Class 8 conventional-cab highway tractor built by Navistar International from the 2009 through 2024 model years, unveiled at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show. Designed for long-haul highway work, it shared its basic cab structure with the International ProStar but was built with a set-forward front axle and an extended, 132-inch BBC hoodline styled to recall Navistar's late-1930s International Harvester D-series trucks. The LoneStar was offered with a day cab and with 56-inch and 73-inch sleeper configurations, the largest of which replaced the lower bunk with a sofa bed and swiveling front seats that converted the cab into a workspace when parked. This 1:50 scale set pairs the LoneStar sleeper tractor with a trailer carrying Caterpillar mural graphics.
