Model History and Information: This 1:64 set combines a white Peterbilt Model 589 day cab with a Trail King hydraulic detachable gooseneck lowboy. Peterbilt unveiled the 589 in May 2023 as the successor to its Model 389 and began production in Denton, Texas, in January 2024; this tractor has the 131-inch BBC hood and three rear axles. Trail King says its hydraulic detachable gooseneck trailer has been North America's bestselling detachable lowboy for more than two decades, engineered so one person can unhook, load, unload and hook up again. The set adds a jeep, which Trail King uses to increase payload capacity and distribute weight, and a booster, which adds axle spread for legal hauling and extra capacity on permit loads. Oversize load signs appear on the tractor and trailer.
