Model History and Information: The Boxer is built around a removable mission module, allowing one common drive module to become an infantry carrier, ambulance, command post or air-defence platform. Germany received its first series-production Boxers in September 2009, with the Netherlands following from 2013. The Skyranger 30 mission module fits a turret armed with a 30x173mm autocannon firing time-fuzed ammunition, backed by an active radar and passive infrared sensor for tracking drones and low-flying aircraft. Germany ordered the system in 2024 to fill its short- and very-short-range air-defence requirement, and the first vehicles were delivered to the German Army in 2025.
