Model History and Information: Developed for the Royal Saudi Air Force, the Advanced Eagle is the most heavily upgraded F-15E derivative, ordered under a Foreign Military Sale contract signed in 2010 covering 84 aircraft. Boeing rolled out the first example at St. Louis in 2013, and deliveries were completed in December 2020. It introduced fly-by-wire flight controls, an active electronically scanned array radar, a digital electronic warfare system, a helmet-mounted cueing system, and two additional wing weapons stations over earlier Saudi Eagles. Before transfer to Saudi Arabia, test and evaluation airframes flew in the United States at Boeing and government facilities, wearing US-style serials and markings during the development program. This depicts an aircraft in that evaluation configuration; the specific airframe history is not independently verified.
