SKU HA38019

Product Dimensions: 9.8 x 9.8 x 4.3 in.

Model History and Information: The United States Navy operated F-16A/B Fighting Falcons as adversary aircraft, most notably at Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada, home of the Navy Fighter Weapons School and the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center. These airframes, built to a Block 15 standard, flew in the dissimilar air-combat training role, presenting a realistic threat to Navy and Marine Corps aircrews. In 2011 the service marked the Centennial of Naval Aviation, and heritage and commemorative colour schemes were applied to aircraft across the fleet to celebrate one hundred years of naval flight. A two-seat F-16 carried such a finish. The specific airframe and unit details were not fully verified against primary sources, so this account reflects the type, its adversary role and the 2011 centennial occasion.
