Model History and Information: The Cat® CT660 was a Class 8 vocational truck Caterpillar sold from summer 2011 for severe-service applications such as construction, dump and mixer work, built at Navistar's Garland, Texas plant with a choice of Cat CT11 or CT13 engines. Caterpillar exited the on-highway vocational truck business around 2016. This 1:87 scale set instead pairs the CT660 day cab tractor with a lowboy trailer carrying a Cat 315C L hydraulic excavator, a combination used to transport an excavator between jobsites rather than a motor grader.
