Model History and Information: The MiG-19PM was the missile-armed, radar-equipped interceptor version of the Soviet MiG-19, in production from 1957. The cannons were removed, and four RS-2U air-to-air missiles guided by a radar beam were carried under the wings. The East German air force, the Luftstreitkräfte of the National People's Army, put 12 MiG-19PM into service in 1959, alongside 12 MiG-19S. They flew with Jagdfliegergeschwader 3 at Preschen until the type was withdrawn in 1968 or 1969. This model represents an East German MiG-19PM carrying the number 335.
