Model History and Information: The AH-64E is the latest widely fielded Apache version, built around attack, reconnaissance and close support missions. The Royal Netherlands Air Force has operated Apaches for decades and has modernized that capability with the E-model. In February 2018 the Netherlands chose to upgrade its entire AH-64D fleet to the AH-64E standard through a foreign military sale with the United States; the modification program began in November 2021, with upgraded helicopters delivered between 2023 and 2025. Q-37 of 301 Squadron represents that upgraded fleet in 2024.
