Model History and Information: Revived by Renault's Alpine marque and unveiled in 2017, this rear mid-engined sports car is a spiritual successor to the original 1960s Berlinette that earned fame as a rally winner, including victory in the 1971 Monte Carlo Rally. Built in Dieppe, France, it emphasises light weight and agility, with a curb weight of about 1,103 kg. Power comes from a 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 252 PS in standard form, driving the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It was positioned as a compact French rival to cars such as the Porsche 718 and Alfa Romeo 4C.
