Model History and Information: The Audi RS 5 DTM is the racing version of the RS 5 coupe that Audi campaigned in the DTM touring-car series from 2013 to 2018. Underneath its carbon-fibre-reinforced bodywork sits a tubular steel safety cage and a purpose-built 4.0-litre V8 engine, naturally aspirated under the DTM technical regulations of that era, producing just over 500 hp. Power is sent through a sequential racing gearbox, and the car's aerodynamic package includes a large rear wing for high-speed stability. Audi drivers won DTM titles with this generation of car before the series switched to turbocharged four-cylinder engines under new regulations in 2019.
