Model History and Information: The BMW M4 DTM is the racing version of the M4 coupe that BMW campaigned in the DTM touring-car series from 2014. It uses a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre V8 (BMW P66), producing around 460 hp at 7,500 rpm and 500 Nm of torque, sending power to the rear wheels through a sequential racing gearbox. Wide bodywork over racing slicks and a large rear wing provide the aerodynamic downforce needed at DTM speeds. This car is finished in a predominantly white livery with the BMW Motorsport tricolour (blue/red) stripe, and it competed in the DTM through the 2018 season, before the series adopted turbocharged four-cylinder engines under new technical regulations in 2019.
