Cat Micro 420E Backhoe Loader
Product Dimensions: 2.76 x 1.14 x 0.98 in.
Model History and Information: The Cat® 420 is part of Caterpillar's center-pivot backhoe loader line, which combines a front loader and a rear backhoe on one machine for digging, loading, and utility work. Caterpillar built its first backhoe loader, the 416, in 1985, and the center-pivot 420 series that followed became one of the most common machines on construction and municipal jobsites, valued for pairing loader and excavator functions in a single unit rather than requiring two separate machines. The 420E generation in this line updated the engine and hydraulic system while keeping that dual front-loader-and-backhoe layout. This Cat Micro model reproduces the 420E at a small no-scale size for the Micro Constructors line, distinct in subject from the excavators and dozers also in the same series.
