Model History and Information: The Cat 950M belongs to Caterpillar's medium wheel loader range. Caterpillar equipped it with a Cat C7.1 engine that offers increased power density through proven electronic fuel and air systems. Standard equipment named by the manufacturer includes a lock-up clutch torque converter, manual front locking differential axles and improved ride control, features aimed at fuel economy, performance and ergonomics. For sawmill and paper mill yards Caterpillar also built a 950M Forest Machine with a logger counterweight.
