Model History and Information: This assortment brings together one of each of six single Micro Constructors releases, each on its own interlocking landscape base under a clear cover. The printed card on the blister identifies them as the Cat 315D L excavator (85970), Cat 272C skid steer loader (85974), Cat 770 off-highway truck (85982), Cat 420E backhoe loader (85973), Cat D8T track-type tractor (85978) and Cat 950M wheel loader (85983). On the full-size machines, Caterpillar developed the 770 for construction, mining and quarry applications, equips the D8T with single and multi-shank rippers for tough material, and gave the 272C a vertical lift design for extended reach and lift height when loading trucks.
