Model History and Information: The CT660 was Caterpillar's Class 8 vocational truck, built under contract by Navistar at Garland, Texas, and launched in 2011. Caterpillar decided in 2016 to exit the on-highway vocational truck business, which gives the model a short production history. Diecast Masters lists this miniature as the Cat CT660 Dump Truck, item 84522 in its Micro Constructors series. The model is a rigid straight truck rather than an articulated hauler: a yellow CT660 cab and chassis carry a grey dump body over tandem rear axles, with a chrome-finished grille surround and Cat badging on the grille. The truck is packed on an interlocking landscape base inside a clear display cover.
