Model History and Information: The Cat® CB-13 is a 13-metric-ton tandem vibratory roller used for asphalt compaction in road building, with two vibrating drums 2000 mm (79 in) wide that deliver smooth, uniform compaction. It is powered by a Cat C4.4 engine and uses a Versa Vibe vibratory system with multiple amplitudes and frequencies, letting one machine handle both thin and thick asphalt lifts. Caterpillar builds the CB-13 with an enclosed, sound-suppressed operator cab as an option for cooler-climate or noise-sensitive jobsites. This 1:50 scale model reproduces the closed-cab version of the roller.
