Model History and Information: The Cat® CB-13 is a 13-metric-ton tandem vibratory roller used for asphalt compaction in road building, with two vibrating drums 2000 mm (79 in) wide that deliver smooth, uniform compaction. It is powered by a Cat C4.4 engine paired with a Versa Vibe vibratory system offering multiple amplitude and frequency combinations, so operators can match the roller's output to thin or thick asphalt lifts. In place of an enclosed cab, Caterpillar also builds the CB-13 with an open ROPS operator station, the configuration reproduced on this 1:50 scale model.
