Model History and Information: The Cat® CB-2.7 is a compact tandem vibratory roller in Caterpillar's 2- to 5-tonne utility compactor range, built for asphalt compaction on smaller paving and utility jobs. At 2.7 to 3 metric tons operating weight with 1200 mm (47 in) drums, it is sized for car parks, shoulders, small parking lots and lane additions, and can also serve as a support roller behind larger, high-production machines. It is powered by a Cat C1.7T engine, with reduced maintenance tasks and a 3-year/3,000-hour vibratory system service interval keeping running costs low. This 1:50 scale model reproduces the standard configuration of the compactor.
