Model History and Information: The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 returned for the 2019 model year as the most powerful production Corvette built to that point. Its supercharged 6.2-litre LT5 V8 produces 755 hp (766 PS) and 715 lb-ft of torque, enough for a top speed of about 212 mph (341 km/h) and a 0-60 mph time of roughly three seconds. Chevrolet built the ZR1 around the C7 Corvette's aluminium chassis, adding a larger intercooled supercharger, dual-fuel injection and an extensive aerodynamic package to manage the added power. The bright orange seen on some early cars echoes the Sebring Orange Design Package Chevrolet offered when the ZR1 launched in 2018.
