Citroen Ami 8 Club 1969 Iris Green (1:18 Scale)
Model History and Information: Citroen replaced the Ami 6 with the Ami 8 at the Geneva show in March 1969. The new car kept the platform, doors and roof of its predecessor but exchanged the distinctive reverse-raked rear window for a conventional fastback profile, along with a completely redesigned front end; the restyling was directed by Robert Opron, who also shaped the GS, the CX and the SM. It was sold in Confort and Club trim, the Club adding separate front seats and stainless window surrounds, and as an estate that proved especially popular with rural buyers. Production ran to June 1978 and exceeded seven hundred thousand cars.
