Model History and Information: Caterpillar's D6R replaced the D6H in 1996, keeping the elevated-sprocket, high-drive undercarriage the D6H had introduced in 1986 and offering five models ranging upward from 165 horsepower. Available with a Power Angle Tilt (PAT) blade among other configurations, the D6R was built for grading, spreading and general dozing on construction and site-development jobs, balancing blade capacity, maneuverability and reliability before Caterpillar replaced it with the D6T. This Core Classics 1:50 replica reproduces the D6R with a movable blade fitted with an AccuGrade GPS mast, a rear ripper and highly detailed metal tracks.
