Dassault 1:72 Mirage 2000-5F France Air Force 2-FK “Cigognes” (1:72 Scale)

Product Dimensions: 7.85 x 4.99 x 2.84 in.

Model History and Information: This Mirage 2000-5F carries the markings of Escadron de Chasse 1/2 “Cigognes,” the French Air Force's oldest fighter unit, which traces its lineage to First World War aces Georges Guynemer and René Fonck. Re-formed after 1945, Cigognes flew the Mirage IIIC from 1961, moved to the Mirage 2000C in 1984 and converted to the Mirage 2000-5F in the late 1990s, later relocating to Luxeuil-Saint-Sauveur air base in 2011. The 2000-5 standard added RDY radar and MICA missile capability to the delta-wing airframe first flown in 1978, keeping the interceptor current for beyond-visual-range combat. Aircraft 2-FK is one of the squadron's active Mirage 2000-5F fighters flying that mission today.
