Eurofighter Typhoon 30+78, Luftwaffe, 2021 (with 4 x GBU-48) (1:72 Scale)
Product Dimensions: 10.4 x 7.7 x 3.3 in.
Model History and Information: For years the German Air Force flew its Eurofighter Typhoons purely as air-defence interceptors, but the type was always designed to be multi-role. That capability was realised when the Luftwaffe integrated the GBU-48 Enhanced Paveway II, a precision bomb using both satellite and laser guidance built onto a standard 1,000-pound weapon. The first of these were handed over to Tactical Air Force Wing 31 'Boelcke' at Nörvenich in December 2019, making it the first German Typhoon unit cleared to attack ground targets with guided weapons. This aircraft, serial 30+78, is shown in that swing-role fit carrying four GBU-48s, reflecting the Typhoon's move to a true multi-role fighter.
