Eurofighter Typhoon 7L+WF, Austrian Air Force

Product Dimensions: 10.4 x 7.7 x 3.3 in.

Model History and Information: Austria guards its national airspace with a single Eurofighter unit, the Überwachungsgeschwader based at Zeltweg in Styria, which has operated fifteen aircraft of the type since 2007. As a neutral state outside NATO, Austria uses them purely for air policing rather than for expeditionary operations, and the fleet is tasked with identifying and intercepting unknown traffic over the country. The Eurofighter is a twin-engine canard delta multirole fighter developed by a European consortium of British, German, Italian and Spanish partners, and the Austrian aircraft carry the 7L serial series applied to the country's fighter fleet.
