F-104 Starfighter, Starfighters Aerospace Aerobati
Product Dimensions: 9.11 x 3.65 x 2.24 in.
Model History and Information: The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was a Mach 2-class interceptor of the 1950s, built around a needle-like fuselage and a very short, razor-thin wing optimised for high-speed flight rather than manoeuvrability. After U.S. and allied air forces retired their Starfighters, Starfighters Aerospace, founded in 1996 by former Navy pilot Rick Svetkoff, began restoring surplus Canadian and Italian F-104s to civilian airworthiness. Operating from Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, the company flies its jets in aerobatic and high-speed display work for air shows and government and commercial customers.
