The F-15C Eagle is a single-seat, air-superiority fighter aircraft developed by the American aircraft manufacturer McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing). The 173rd Fighter Wing (FW) is a unit of the United States Air National Guard (ANG), which is a reserve component of the United States Air Force. The 173rd FW is based at Kingsley Field Air National Guard Base, Oregon, and is equipped with the F-15C Eagle. The wing's mission is to provide air defense and support to ground troops in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. The 173rd FW also supports federal and state agencies as required and provides trained personnel to support active-duty Air Force operations overseas.
