Model History and Information: Taiwan ordered 150 F-16A/B Block 20 aircraft in 1992 under the Peace Fenghuang programme, with deliveries beginning in the mid-1990s. The 455th Tactical Fighter Wing at Chiayi Air Base was the first Republic of China Air Force unit to field the type, its component squadrons including the 21st, 22nd and 23rd. The single-seat F-16A is a multirole fighter cleared to carry a wide range of stores, among them the unguided Mk 20 Rockeye anti-armour cluster bomb for ground attack. This airframe is presented in a ground-attack configuration.
