Model History and Information: The Royal Netherlands Air Force was one of the four European launch customers for the F-16 and flew the type for more than four decades before retiring its last Fighting Falcons in 2024, as the F-35A took over. For the Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 at RAF Fairford, the RNLAF presented F-16 J-616 in special markings celebrating 50 years of the F-16, whose prototype first flew in 1974.
