Model History and Information: The Royal Thai Air Force acquired F-16A/B Fighting Falcons from the late 1980s, later supplementing them with ex-United States F-16 Air Defence Fighter airframes. These aircraft equip squadrons tasked with air defence and multirole duties, and No. 403 Squadron has flown the type within the fighter force. In 2016 an individual aircraft carried a commemorative colour scheme marking a twentieth anniversary associated with the squadron's F-16 service. Anniversary liveries of this kind are display finishes applied over the standard airframe for ceremonial and public-relations purposes and do not alter operational configuration.
