F-4E "Iran Air Show 2024" 3-6538, IRIAF, Kish Island (1:72 Scale)
Product Dimensions: 12.2 x 12.2 x 4.7 in.
Model History and Information: Under the Shah, the United States delivered 225 F-4D, F-4E, and RF-4E Phantoms to Iran during the 1960s and 1970s, making the country the type's second-largest export customer. After 1979 the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force inherited the fleet, which saw heavy combat in the Iran-Iraq War of the 1980s and was kept flying through domestic overhaul and locally produced parts despite sanctions. Decades later Iran remains one of the last operators of the Phantom, sustaining refurbished F-4Es for air defense and presenting them at national events. This aircraft represents an IRIAF F-4E in that continuing service.
