Model History and Information: Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 115, the 'Silver Eagles', flew the F/A-18 Hornet for more than three decades and regularly deployed to Japan with Marine Aircraft Group 12 under the Unit Deployment Program. The single-seat F/A-18C combined air-to-air and strike capability in one aircraft and was the backbone of Marine Corps tactical aviation until the arrival of the F-35.
