VFA-82 Marauders was a U.S. Navy fighter attack squadron that was established in 1943. The squadron was based at Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia and was equipped with the F/A-18C Hornet. The Marauders took part in various deployments, including Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. The squadron was disestablished in 2005 as part of a U.S. Navy restructuring effort.
