It provides dissimilar air combat training to East Coast carrier air wings and supports the Strike Fighter Advanced Readiness Program, the intensive course fleet strike fighter crews complete before deploying. The squadron replaced its legacy Hornets with the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet in 2021 and uses the radio call sign Ambush with the tail code AF. Its aircraft wear a rotating series of schemes that imitate potential adversary types, which is why individual airframes appear in markings quite unlike standard fleet camouflage.

Model Features & Details:

This highly detailed diecast model is fully licensed by Boeing Company.

It is a true to scale model and contains functional parts designed for realism and display.

The model is largely handcrafted and only premium materials are used making the range one of the most valued military finished models by collectors.

Highly detailed and authentic printings and finishing

Highly refined and realistic panel lines

Detailed cockpit with pilot figure

Optional landing gears that allow model to be displayed either in landing mode or flying mode

Optional canopies for close and open positions

Weapons load included based on real plane reference

Stand included for flying mode

Packaging: Full-color printed outer paper box with foam packaging inside for strong and sturdy protection of the model.

Availability: Announced for February 2027.
