VFA-103 traces the Jolly Rogers name and skull-and-crossbones insignia to VF-17, which first carried them in 1943; the marking passed through later squadrons before the unit, then designated VF-103 and redesignated VFA-103 in 2005, adopted it in 1995. In 2013, marking the insignia's 70th anniversary, the squadron redesigned its markings to echo VF-17's original patches and tail colors, carrying them through a deployment aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower with Carrier Air Wing Seven that ended in July 2013.

Model Features & Details:

1:72 scale JC Wings collector aircraft model

Die-cast metal construction with detail parts

Fine engraved panel-line detailing

Detailed cockpit-area representation

Pre-assembled for collector display

Packaging: JC Wings retail packaging with internal protective packaging.

https://motorcityclassicsinc.com/products/f-a-18f-super-hornet-u-s-navy-vfa-103-jolly-rogers-70th-anniversary-edition-2013
