Model History and Information: The Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 is a one-off, all-electric prototype revealed by Ford Performance and RTR Vehicles in 2020, built on the Mustang Mach-E's platform but fitted with seven electric motors, three driving the front axle and four the rear, for a combined output of about 1,400 hp, which gives the car its name. It also generates more than 2,300 lb of downforce at 160 mph thanks to its aerodynamic body and huge rear wing. RTR founder and professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. served as test driver during its development, which followed Ford's earlier Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 electric drag prototype. The car was built to explore extreme electric performance rather than for production, and remains a unique, one-of-a-kind vehicle.
