F-5A "RNoAF 50th Anniversary" 132, Leeuwarden AB, 1994 (1:72 Scale)
Product Dimensions: 8.03 x 4.30 x 2.23 in.
Model History and Information: The Royal Norwegian Air Force operated 108 Freedom Fighters, comprising F-5A, F-5B and RF-5A models delivered between 1966 and 1971, with much of the fleet supplied as military aid. In Norwegian service the type performed interception, ground attack and reconnaissance across the country's demanding northern terrain and long coastline facing the Soviet Union. This F-5A wears a commemorative scheme marking the service's 50th anniversary in 1994, the air arm tracing its formation to 1944. Such special liveries were applied to individual airframes for anniversary events and airshow appearances. Norway progressively retired its F-5s as the F-16 took over front-line duties, with the last examples serving into the early 2000s. The named serial, unit, date and finish on this model identify the individual historical subject represented: F-5A "RNoAF 50th Anniversary" 132, Leeuwarden AB, 1994 (1:72 Scale).
